Heart Garland

This unique and colourful Garland has been designed and crafted by the women of Artis Altai. Located in Mongolia, in the heart of the Gobi Desert, Artis Altai is an artisans' workshop that provides employment opportunities for women who have little or no income. Artis Altai combines traditional felt-making expertise, used since the time of Genghis Khan, with innovative contemporary craft designs. Every purchase contributes directly towards improving the living conditions of women and their families whilst offering hope, confidence and dignity through professional activity. This business is now a legal co-operative, owned and managed by the women themselves. Each heart included in this garland has been hand felted, hand stitched and hand dyed using the best quality Australian dyes and natural Mongolian sheep and goat wool. The garland is a 220cm long ribbon with hanging loops on each end and features 8 colourful hearts hanging on matching ribbons. This garland will make a colourful, textured, quality gift for decorating any room for all occasions.
